Bigg Boss Telugu 5 fame Sarayu, who is known for her explicit communication on her YouTube channel, has got arrested yesterday by the Banjara Hills police.
As per reports, a case has already been registered against the actress for allegedly insulting Hindu gods & their followers. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president lodged a complaint against her for demeaning the Hindu community by faulty mocking them and making fun of them on her YouTube content.
After questioning for nearly two hours, the police arrested Sarayu along with her video team members Srikanth Reddy, actors Karthik and Krishna Mohan. They were shifted to Banjara Hills police station. She was booked under sections 153A and 295A. The alleged youtube video was uploaded on her Youtube Channel on February 2021. In the video, which was shot at a local restaurant, Sarayu and others can be seen donning the saffron headband with printed slogans ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriya’.
Besides participating in Bigg Boss Telugu last season, Sarayu also featured in films such as ‘Tholi Parichayam’ (2016) and ‘Carpool’ (2018) and ‘3 Roses’ (2021).
