Ram Charan–NTR Fan Clash Over “Peddi” Box Office Buzz

With Peddi nearing the end of its theatrical run after crossing the ₹300-crore gross mark worldwide, an unexpected social media debate has emerged between the fan bases of Ram Charan and NTR.

While the film has delivered mixed results across different regions, it has nonetheless strengthened Ram Charan’s box-office position and earned appreciation for his performance.

However, instead of focusing on the film’s success, fans of both stars have been engaged in a heated comparison over box-office numbers. NTR supporters point out that Peddi underperformed compared to Devara in key overseas markets like North America, while Ram Charan fans highlight its strong collections in Andhra Pradesh and its solid worldwide gross.

The discussion took a new turn when some social media users questioned NTR’s silence regarding Peddi, noting that he had previously appreciated certain films publicly. This led to speculation about whether the friendly rapport seen between Ram Charan and NTR during the RRR era had weakened.

However, NTR’s fans dismissed these claims, arguing that several industry figures, including S S Rajamouli and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, had attended screenings without posting reactions, making it unfair to single out NTR. They maintained that his personal opinion should not be misinterpreted as a sign of discord.

Ultimately, the online rivalry appears to be fueled more by fan expectations and comparisons rather than any real issue between the two stars. With Peddi already completing most of its theatrical run, the ongoing social media debate seems largely unnecessary.
