Call it sheer coincidence or a well-planned move, the chief ministers of both the Telugu states are going to be in the national capital. Telangana CM KCR is already in Delhi on a personal visit for three days. He is said to be consulting a dentist to address his tooth problem. His wife and daughter Kavitha Kalwakuntla are accompanying him.
Meanwhile, AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too is leaving for New Delhi on Tuesday. He is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss Polavaram, formation of new districts and AP’s financial situation. Thus, both the CMs are going to be in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Interestingly, though on a personal tour, Telangana CM KCR too is said to be trying to secure an appointment with Prime Minister Modi. While KCR is moving heaven and earth to meet Modi, Jagan has got an appointment quickly. Sources say this shows the nature of relationship of both the CMs with the Prime Minister.
Sources are keenly watching if both the Telugu CMs have a meeting together. If they meet, what are the issues that are likely to crop up? Will they discuss outstanding issues of AP bifurcation and also the sharing of Krishna River? Will there be a discussion on the political situation in the Telugu states and the country in general?
