Jailer 2 Rumors End as Cameo Plans Reportedly Dropped
Ever since Jailer 2 was officially announced, the sequel to the blockbuster Jailer has generated tremendous excitement among fans. However, much of that anticipation has recently been dominated by a flood of cameo rumors, creating more speculation than clarity around the project.
The buzz initially began with reports suggesting that veteran actor Balakrishna would make a special appearance in the film. Soon after, rumors emerged that Vijay Sethupathi had been approached for a crucial cameo role. As discussions intensified, the speculation expanded further, with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s name also being linked to the project.
The rumor mill continued to gain momentum when several Tamil media reports claimed that Hrithik Roshan was being considered for a powerful guest appearance. According to reports, director Nelson felt that the story did not require another major star appearance and decided to focus entirely on the core narrative rather than adding a high-profile guest role.
Meanwhile, patchwork shooting for Jailer 2 is said to be progressing steadily. Superstar Rajinikanth is reportedly expected to join the team for additional filming on June 8 or 9 after returning from his vacation in Ooty.
