Tharun Moorthy Clears Air on Mohanlal Film Rumors
Rumors surrounding the production of Athimanoharam, the upcoming Malayalam film starring Mohanlal, have been put to rest by director Tharun Moorthy. Recent reports claimed that the film’s shooting had been halted due to script-related issues. However, the filmmaker has strongly denied these speculations and clarified that production is progressing as planned.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Tharun shared a statement addressing the rumors. He revealed that the team has been continuously filming in Thodupuzha for the past 78 days and emphasized that the reports about production troubles are completely false.
The director acknowledged that heavy rains and challenging weather conditions have affected some shooting schedules. However, he stressed that the cast and crew remain committed to overcoming these obstacles and are continuing the shoot with enthusiasm and positivity.
Tharun also urged social media users and content creators not to spread unverified information for the sake of views, reach, or engagement. He noted that such misinformation can create unnecessary confusion among audiences and undermine the hard work of the entire production team.
Athimanoharam holds special significance as it marks Mohanlal’s 360th film. The project also reunites the actor with Tharun Moorthy after their previous successful collaboration. In the film, Mohanlal will be seen portraying Sub-Inspector T.S. Lovelajan.
The movie boasts a strong technical team, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy and editing handled by Vivek Harshan, who is known for his acclaimed work on Manjummel Boys and Aavesham. Actress Meera Jasmine will play the female lead.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal has continued to enjoy a busy year at the box office, with films such as Patriot and the highly anticipated Drishyam 3 generating significant interest among audiences.
