Working with Natural Star Nani may now require a little more patience. With the actor fully occupied with his ambitious pan-Indian project The Paradise, several filmmakers who had planned films with him are choosing to move ahead with other stars instead of waiting indefinitely.
Nani is currently dedicating most of his time to The Paradise, a high-budget film that demands a lengthy production schedule. As a result, his upcoming commitments have been pushed back, prompting directors to explore new opportunities to avoid long gaps in their careers.
One of the most notable names is Sujeeth. The director’s film Bloody Romeo with Nani has already been announced, but with the project unlikely to begin anytime soon, Sujeeth has reportedly shifted his focus to OG 2 starring Pawan Kalyan. This has effectively delayed his collaboration with Nani.
A similar situation surrounds director Shouryuv, who delivered the successful Hi Nanna. Although he was keen on reuniting with Nani, the actor’s packed schedule has led him to move forward with a new project featuring Vijay Deverakonda.
Director TJ Gnanavel, who was also in discussions with Nani for a film, appears to have taken a similar route. Reports suggested that the story had been finalized, but the project could not take off due to Nani’s existing commitments. Instead of waiting, Gnanavel went ahead with his film starring Suriya and is now fully occupied with that project.
In today’s film industry, waiting years for a star’s availability is rarely a practical option for directors. Delayed schedules can affect career momentum, prompting filmmakers to seize other opportunities whenever they arise.
That said, this doesn’t necessarily mean these collaborations have been shelved. Once Nani completes The Paradise and the respective directors wrap up their current projects, there remains a strong possibility that the long-discussed combinations could finally materialize. For now, however, the directors seem to have chosen career continuity over waiting for Nani’s dates.
