Former Health Minister of Telangana Etela Rajender recently resigned to TRS. On June 12, he submitted his resignation letter to the Speaker of the Telangana Assembly. However, the Speaker approved his resignation. After his resignation, he left for Delhi. Now, Etela is going to join BJP on June 14 in presence of BJP leader JP Nadda.
Due to Etela’s resignation, the Huzurabad seat has fallen vacant. According to the constitution, any assembly seat that falls vacant should be refilled within six months. Against this backdrop, it seems like KCR wants the by-election for the Huzurabad constituency to be held within the next two months. TRS government is considering the Huzurabad by-election as prestigious and KCR roped in trouble-shooter like T Harish Rao to strengthen their base in the Huzurabad constituency.
