Arjun Sarja Slams Fake Box Office Claims, Rejects ₹4 Cr Poster Plan

Action King Arjun Sarja’s latest comments have now become a hot topic on social media. At a time when it has become common in the film industry to release inflated box office posters immediately after a film’s release, Arjun has clearly expressed his opinion on such promotional practices. His remarks are currently going viral online.
Arjun Sarja handled multiple responsibilities for the film Seetha Payanam, including story, screenplay, direction, and production. The film, which revolves around elements such as love, family relationships, Indian culture, and Sanatana Dharma, was released on February 14. His daughter Aishwarya Arjun also made her Telugu debut as the female lead with this film.
Recently, Arjun shared an experience related to the film’s marketing strategy. He revealed that during the release of Seetha Payanam, a marketing agency suggested releasing posters claiming ₹4 crore collections within four days of release. However, he rejected the idea, stating that such figures were unrealistic. He reportedly dismissed the proposal outright, emphasizing his refusal to engage in exaggerated box office claims.
His comments have gained traction as discussions around fake box office numbers and inflated collections continue to surface in the industry. Arjun’s statement has been interpreted as a subtle criticism of such promotional tactics, reinforcing the idea that audience response matters more than fabricated figures.
Seetha Payanam features Niranjan Sudhindra in the lead role, while Aishwarya Arjun plays the character Sita. The film also includes cameo appearances by Dhruva Sarja. The supporting cast features Prakash Raj, Sathyaraj, Kovai Sarala, Sumithra, and Bithiri Satti in key roles.
The music is composed by Anup Rubens, while Sai Madhav Burra has written the dialogues. The story follows Sita, who embarks on a journey after surviving an accident to thank those who saved her. During her journey, she meets a young man named Abhi, and their relationship gradually develops into love. However, the story takes a turn when a hidden truth about him is revealed, shaping the emotional core of the film.
Despite its focus on family values, relationships, and cultural themes, the film received a mixed response due to its slow screenplay and lack of strong commercial elements. While Seetha Payanam did not perform as expected at the box office, Arjun Sarja’s comments on maintaining authenticity in collections and avoiding fake promotional claims have now sparked widespread discussion.
