Court summons CM, alleges disrespect to National Anthem!

A Court had shocked a serving Chief Minister by serving summons on the grounds of reportedly disrespecting the national anthem. In the summons served to the Chief Minister, the Court had issued directives to the CM to be present before the court for the hearing in the case.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee suffered a big shock when a Mumbai court said that she had reportedly disrespected the National anthem by not standing up while the national anthem was played.

Media reports say that the Mumbai Court said that the West Bengal Chief Minister should be present before the court on the 2nd of next month. In the summons, the Court is believed to have said that the case will proceed.

The summons is a result of the petition that was filed in the court against the West Bengal Chief Minister accusing her of not respecting the national anthem. The petition had dubbed the Chief Minister disrespectful towards the National anthem.

Going into details, a leader from the Mumbai wing of Bharatiya Janata Party had knocked on the doors of the Magistrate Court saying that Mamata Banerjee did not stand up when the national anthem was playing at an event.

The BJP leader said that what the Chief Minister did was not acceptable and sought action against her. The petitioner had submitted the Videos before the Court and the Magistrate Court is said to have acknowledged that the Chief Minister reportedly did not stand up.

The Magistrate Court had reportedly said that the Chief Minister cannot be left in the case as she was not doing any official work at the event and hence the petition filed on the issue can be heard.

The alleged incident took place earlier in December last year when she visited the financial capital of the country Mumbai. The meeting was a political one where the West Bengal Chief Minister met various leaders from different parties.

Now we have to wait and see how the Chief Minister will react to the issue and what explanation Mamata will give when the court hears a petition next month.
