Rahul Dev, a well-known actor in Hindi cinema who is also familiar to Telugu audiences through films like Athadu, Pournami and others, has recently found himself in the spotlight again due to his comments about Mahesh Babu.

In a recent interview, Rahul Dev spoke about Mahesh Babu’s career choices, noting that the actor has achieved success by consistently selecting specific kinds of films, particularly in collaboration with director Trivikram Srinivas. Interestingly, Rahul was also part of Athadu, the acclaimed Mahesh–Trivikram combination film. He praised this approach to filmmaking and remarked that such a focused trend of selective scripting is not commonly seen in Bollywood.

When further asked about Mahesh Babu’s earlier statement that Bollywood “cannot afford him,” Rahul responded by saying that language might be a barrier, implying that Mahesh does not actively work in Hindi films for that reason.

However, these comments have quickly gone viral, with Mahesh Babu fans countering the claim by pointing out that the actor is fluent in Hindi and has often communicated comfortably in the language. Many also believe that upcoming projects will further showcase his pan-India appeal.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently working with SS Rajamouli on the highly anticipated film Varanasi, which is already generating massive buzz across industries.
