Daaku Maharaaj: Balakrishna’s Box-Office Triumph Breaks Barriers with Hindi Success

Released on January 12, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj has taken the box office by storm, emerging as the biggest hit of his career. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film has crossed a significant milestone, grossing over Rs. 160 crores, making it the second biggest hit of this Sankranthi season.

After a highly successful run in Telugu, the film was launched in Hindi on January 24, a move that exceeded expectations. Daaku Maharaaj had already gained significant buzz in North India, thanks to a viral collaboration between Balakrishna and actress Urvashi Rautela. Her enthusiastic endorsements in the media only amplified the excitement for the film’s Hindi release.

Upon its debut, the film has been met with a positive response from Hindi-speaking audiences, which was an unexpected but welcomed turn of events. Viewers have praised its action-packed sequences and high-energy background score. The inclusion of Bollywood actors Bobby Deol and Urvashi Rautela has also contributed to the film’s appeal, creating a cross-industry connection that worked in the film’s favor.

In response to the overwhelming support, director Bobby Kolli expressed his gratitude on social media, thanking audiences for their incredible feedback on the Hindi version. “We are thrilled to receive such incredibly positive feedback for the Hindi version of Daaku Maharaaj. We are truly grateful and excited to meet you very, very soon!” he shared in a tweet.

The film’s success in the Hindi market has sparked calls from Nandamuri fans to further promote Daaku Maharaaj in North India, ensuring its continued success and solidifying Balakrishna’s presence in the region. The movie, produced by Sithara Entertainments, also features talented actresses Pragya Jaiswal and Shraddha Srinath in pivotal roles.

With the film’s growing momentum, Daaku Maharaaj is poised to make a significant impact not only in South India but also across the Hindi-speaking belt, providing a platform for Balakrishna’s upcoming project, Akhanda 2, to reach new heights.
