Deepika Padukone’s latest film Gehraiyaan is releasing on 11th February on Amazon Prime Video. Movie stars Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Ananya Pandey along with her. Shakun Batra wrote and directed the film.
Intimate scenes from the movie have been publicized so much to state that the movie is an erotic representation of extra marital affair.
Movie received ‘A’ certificate due to those scenes from CBFC and when Deepika is asked about them, she replied in a very casual tone.
She said that she doesn’t feel like she has to explain why a director wanted to tell a story in a certain way prior to release of the film. She commented that she liked the script and agreed to act in erotic scenes as that convinced her.
When asked about Ranveer Singh, her husband’s reaction about her acting in those scenes, she replied that she is as professional as her husband and she doesn’t have to take his permission to act in a film that she likes.
She also said that she and he hails from different backgrounds and have different mindsets but that doesn’t work against their relationship or work-life balance.
She shared that she liked Band Baaja Baarat and Gully Boy films of her husband other than the films they both have starred in together like Ramleela, Padmavat and Bajirao Mastani.
