Dil Raju is one of the top producers in Tollywood and he is looking to expand his brand to other languages too. He is producing ‘Jersey’ remake in Hindi and he is now all set to make a mark in Kollywood too. Going by the current trend of making films with a larger appeal, he is planning films with top stars of Tamil with Telugu directors.

Thalapathy Vijay who is on a roll with back-to-back hits is ready to make his Telugu debut in the direction of Vamsi Paidipally. Apparently, this film is going to be made in Telugu as well as Tamil and it will be released in other languages too. Dil Raju is bankrolling this project as per reports.

On the other side, a lot of filmmakers are trying to make a straight Telugu with star hero Suriya. Considering Suriya’s craze and stardom in both Telugu states and Tamil Nadu, everyone is waiting for one such huge project. The talk in tinsel town is that Dil Raju is making moves to make a pan-South Indian film with Suriya. If things go as planned, mass director Boyapati Sreenu will be handling the megaphone for this project.

Boyapati is working on ‘Akhanda’ right now and he penned a few powerful projects during the lockdown and one of them is expected to be with Suriya. It will be a treat to Suriya’s fans and people are eagerly waiting for it. Seems like Dil Raju is aiming big by bringing together Telugu and Tamil industries and making universally appealing projects. If this works out, Dil Raju will be becoming a huge brand in South India.

Proving that age is truly just a number, legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has achieved yet another remarkable feat by directing a full-length feature film at the age of 94. If making a film at such an age is an accomplishment in itself, delivering a successful one is an even bigger achievement. Released last Friday, Sing Geetham has struck a chord with the younger generation and is steadily marching towards box-office success.

What makes the achievement even more extraordinary is that Singeetam conceived the idea nearly four decades ago and held on to it all these years. The fact that the concept still feels fresh and relevant to today’s audiences is a testament to his creative vision. Riding high on the film’s success, the veteran director recently interacted with Telugu journalists from his residence in Chennai and shared his thoughts on contemporary cinema.

During the interaction, Singeetam revealed that two recent films had impressed him the most — Pushpa 2 and Kantara. Interestingly, he had special praise for Sukumar and Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa 2.

“Among the recent films, Pushpa 2 and Kantara impressed me immensely. I particularly loved the characterization of the hero in Pushpa 2. As for Kantara, it is an extraordinary film. The emotions, character arcs, and storytelling in the movie are exceptionally strong,” said the veteran filmmaker.

Coming from a director who has built a career on experimentation and innovative storytelling, such appreciation is undoubtedly a matter of pride for the makers of both films.

Speaking about Sing Geetham, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao said that the film was made keeping Gen Z audiences in mind, and he was delighted that the younger generation had embraced it wholeheartedly. He described this phase as one of the finest periods of his career and expressed confidence that Sing Geetham would earn even greater recognition with the passage of time.

The veteran filmmaker also made it clear that the credit for the film’s success largely belongs to director Nag Ashwin, acknowledging his contribution in bringing the project to life.
