The inquiry commission that was constituted by the top court Supreme Court on the sensational Disha Encounter had called the family members of the accused in the case to appear before them. The other day, the father of prime accused Mohammed Arif alias Ahmed, Pinjari Hussain appeared before the commission.
It is said that Pinjari Hussain told the commission that the Disha encounter is nothing but fake and his son was taken by the cops and encountered later. The alleged statements of the father of the main accused had made many eyebrows roll.The family members of the remaining accused in the sensational case were scheduled to meet the members of the Commission on Saturday. The kin of the three other accused will meet the Commission today.
The sensational Gang-rape of the murder case of a veterinarian that took place on November 27, 2019, in Telangana had become a national issue. The victim was raped and killed by the four accused Mohammed Arif, Jollu Shiva, Chintakuntla Chennakeshavulu, and Jollu Naveen. The accused have burnt the victim fearing that she might reveal their identities.
The cops had responded quickly and identified the four accused and arrested them. The accused were taken to the incident spot to recreate the incident. However, the accused tried to escape the spot by attacking the cops there. As an act of defense, the cops opened fire and the accused were encountered.
The then Commissioner of Cyberabad, Sajjanar became a hero for those who condemned the incident and called for the encounter of the accused. Women have expressed a feeling of thank you to the police by showering the cops with floral petals. The issue became a much-talked-about one then.
Quite contrary to this, the Human Rights Organisations have strongly condemned the encounter and raised the doubt of planned attack behind the killings of the four accused in the rape and murder case.
With these organizations knocking on the doors of the Supreme Court, the Apex Court had constituted the Sirpurkar Commission to probe into the encounter of the Disha incident accused. The Commission had called the kin of the accused to appear before them to take their statements.
