Despite resigning from the TRS, Eatala Rajender continues to be hugely popular in the party. Though he had defeated the TRS party in the Huzurabad bypoll, the party workers still seem to be enamoured of Eatala Rajender. Several senior TRS leaders, including ministers, MLAs and district level functionaries, greeted him warmly when he went to attend the wedding ceremony of senior TRS leader K Keshava Rao’s grand daughter.
Several TRS leaders shunned inhibitions and posed for photographs with Eatala at the function. They also greeted him very warmly. In fact, KK had some cheerful banter with him. In fact, he tapped the former colleague and now rival Eatala with his mask on the cheeks, to which Eatala reacted with smile.
A video of Eatala being mobbed by the TRS workers even as party working president KTR was walking by with his security personnel is now going viral on the social media. The video clip shows the TRS workers ignoring KTR and vying with one another to meet Eatala.
Interestingly, despite the bonhomie and banter, EAtala was careful not to run into KTR. The latter too studiously avoided meeting Eatala. Though they were at the function almost at the same time, they avoided each other. Meanwhile, the TRS is trying to tighten nuts on Eatala Rajender by booking cases of land grab against the Jamuna Hatcheries owned by Eatala’s family.
At the same time, Eatala is spearheading a campaign to lure as many TRS leaders as possible into the BJP. He has already begun the Operation Akarsh and gave a tough time to the official TRS MLC candidates in both Karimnagar and Adilabad. He had encouraged dissidents and made them stand as rebel candidates. Eatala has managed to lure several MPTCs and ZPTCs to vote for the rebel candidates.
