Ek Mini Katha actress gets arrested in Mumbai

Kavya Thapar, who is known for her work in ‘Ek Mini Katha’ has been arrested by the Mumbai Police in an alleged case of drunk driving, manhandling and attacking a woman constable on Thursday night.

The incident happened near J W Marriott Hotel around 1 am when the sultry diva was coming back after attending a party with her friends. Thapar has been remanded and is currently in judicial custody.

She has been booked on charges of engaging in a scuffle and using offensive language with the police after she hit a car and injured a person under the influence of alcohol.

The 26 years old actress, who made her acting debut with a 2013 short film ‘Tatkal’, made her debut in Tollywood with a 2018 Telugu movie ‘Ee Maaya Peremito’. She also made her Tamil film debut with the 2019 film ‘Market Raja MBBS’ alongside Arav.

On the work front, Thapar is currently shooting for an anthology series now titled ‘Kaali Peeli Tales’ starring Vinay Pathak, Sharib Hashmi, among others.
