The moment allegations were made against Etela Rajendar, and he was removed as the health minister of Telangana, things started to heat up in Telangana politics. The Huzurbada constituency has subsequently gone for byelections, and now there’s a tough war going on in between the TRS and Etela, who has served as the minister of the Huzurabad constituency for the last 18 years.
From the moment TRS announced its candidate, Harish Rao has been campaigning grandly for their candidate. KCR has given Harish the responsibility to make sure that the TRS emerges victorious in the Huzurabad by-polls, and given that Harish would gain a greater prominence if he manages to get this job done, he is doing all he can, to make sure that the TRS wins. At the same time, it is also known that Harish and Etela were close when in the TRS, and both of them were known to be a team.
There were several rumours floating around in the TRS when Etela was made Minister and Harish wasn’t, in the 2019 elections, but things were fine between them. Considering this close relationship between the two of them, Harish is currently not making any harsh remarks against Etela, but it is to be seen if this would last until the very end. It is now to be seen who will emerge victorious in between these two.
