Count on newly inducted minister RK Roja to do the unthinkable. Roja never baulks from speaking her mind and has a devil may care attitude. At a time when most of the new ministers of the YSRCP made a beeline to Swami Swaroopananda of Vizag Sharada Peetham to seek his blessings, RK Roja not just paid obeisance to the seer, but also did much more.
She went to Hyderabad and called on Telangana CM KCR, even while slamming the anti-AP comments of his son KTR. Then she also went to meet YS Vijayamma. None of the newly inducted ministers even thought of calling on YS Vijayamma , who still is the honorary president of the YSRCP. Despite her estrangement with son YS Jagan, she continues to be the honorary president of the party.
RK Roja went to the Lotus Pond house and met her. She sought Vijayamma’s blessings. Though Roja’s backers say that the meeting was a courtesy call and that no political significance should be attached to it, Roja spending nearly two hours with both Sharmila and Vijayamma is being considered significant.
In fact, Vijayamma is said to be backing YS Sharmila, who feels that she has not been given her due by brother Jagan. She has formed the YSRTP and is now involved in a padayatra in the far corners of the state. Roja’s meeting is being seen as significant. Sources say that she has the nod of YS Jagan to meet YS Vijayamma.
