The first look of Samantha from her much anticipated upcoming mythological film Shaakuntalam is unveiled on Monday.
The poster features the actress in a stunning white saree, and it appears like the nature and animals around her bowed to her beauty. Introducing her character as princess Shakuntala, Samantha wrote, “Presenting ..Nature’s beloved.. the Ethereal and Demure.. “Shakuntala” from #Shaakuntalam.”
Directed by Gunasekhar, ‘Shaakuntalam’ is based on the epic love story of Shakuntala and Dushyanta, which is an adaptation of the ‘Aadi Parva’ of the Mahabharata. Dev Mohan plays King Dushyanta, while Allu Arha will appear as Prince Bharata.
Produced by Gunaa Teamworks and Sri Venkateswara Creations, the movie has music composed by Mani Sharma and Sekhar V Joseph is on board as the cinematographer, while Prawin Pudi is handling the editing.
