Fuel Prices Add Fuel to TRS-BJP Intense Fight?

The fule price is imposing a big burden on the common people. While the opposition parties and many states are breathing fire on the Union government for imposing the excise duty on the fuel, the Centre hit back saying that a few states are yet to reduce the VAT. At the meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said a few states did not reduce the VAT on petrol and diesel.

Hitting back at the centre over the remarks, Telangana Chief Minister KCR alleged that fule prices were not increased in the state after the state was formed and the Union government holds no right to talk about the fuel prices.

As the fuel prices issue is adding fuel to the fight between Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Bharatiya Janata Party, the President of BJP party for the state of Andhra Pradesh Somu Veerraju had entered the fight and blasted TRS boss KCR over his comments.

Somu Veerraju found fault with KCR’s comments against PM Modi on the fule price issues. He asked why is KCR unhappy when the Prime Minister called for reducing the fuel prices in states that did not reduce the VAT.

Is it wrong to ask the states to reduce the VAT to bring down the fuel prices? The Union government did its part in reducing the excise duty. Why states are not reducing the VAT? When asked to do the same, the states are making noise, he said.
