Remember glamour star Ramya Sri? Her last flick was Malli, which ended up as a dud at the box office. But she appears to be busy with another major project. NO… the project in question is not another film offer. It is a political experiment. The bold star has suddenly become quite active in the ruling YSRCP these days. She is seen meeting the party leaders often.
Ramya Sri had joined the YSRCP ahead of the 2019 elections and had vigorously campaigned for party candidate Chitti Phalguna in the agency area. However, she was not given any party post or official position after the elections. It may be recalled that one of her brothers was a TDP candidate and the other was a Jana Sena candidate. Yet, Ramya Sri did not campaign for them and opted for the YSRCP.
So, after the elections, she went into a hibernation as the party did not give her any position of importance. Many other film stars who campaigned for the YSRCP, save Ali and Posani Krishna Murali, withdrew into shells as YS Jagan did not pander to them. But, with the political heat building up in Andhra Pradesh, Ramya Sri has become active again.
If sources are to be believed, she is said to be trying to get a party ticket to contest the elections this time around. She has already started meeting party leaders in Tadepalli. She is said to be vigorously canvassing for a party ticket to contest the elections. It remains to be seen whether YS Jagan Mohan Reddy obliges her or not.
