He also emphasised that courage, representation, and grace on such global platforms are achievements in themselves.

Actor Aly Goni also defended Alia Bhatt, calling it unfair to pull down someone who has worked hard to represent India internationally. Meanwhile, Alia herself responded to a troll on social media after sharing her Cannes look, replying in a witty manner to a comment that questioned her visibility on the red carpet.

Alia attended the festival as a global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, and her Cannes looks, including an ivory saree-gown and a peach-toned gown, received significant attention online. This marks her second consecutive appearance at the prestigious film festival, which runs from May 12 to May 23.
