The official announcement of NTR’s next film with Trivikram Srinivas has significantly clarified the actor’s upcoming schedule, while also raising fresh doubts over the immediate future of Devara 2.

After completing Dragon with director Prashanth Neel, NTR is expected to begin work on Trivikram’s ambitious mythological epic, tentatively referred to as God of War. With the project now officially confirmed, it appears set to become the actor’s next major commitment.

According to industry expectations, Dragon is likely to complete production during the first half of 2027 before releasing later that year. By then, Trivikram is expected to have wrapped up the extensive pre-production work required for his large-scale mythological drama, allowing filming to commence soon afterward.

Given the scale of the project, the film is expected to require an extended shooting schedule, potentially keeping NTR occupied well into 2028. If that timeline holds, there appears to be little room in the actor’s calendar for Devara 2 in the near future.

The latest development also explains why NTR has remained silent about the sequel in recent months. At the same time, director Koratala Siva has already shifted his focus to his next film with Nandamuri Balakrishna.

While Devara 2 has not been officially shelved, the current lineup suggests that the sequel is unlikely to begin production anytime soon. Until an official announcement is made, its timeline remains uncertain, leaving fans waiting for further clarity.
