India makes the worst record of Covid-19 cases and fatalities!

India, the second worst-affected nation with the Covid-19 outbreak, is facing the wrath of the second wave of the Coronavirus. Compared to the first wave, the new infections and casualties are being reported at an alarming level currently.

For the third consecutive day, India reported more than three lakh fresh Covid-19 infections. Even the worst affected nation, the United States had not made this record. The US only reported over 3 lakh cases for two times.

India recorded over 3.46 lakh new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours out of the 8.13 lakh cases reported across the globe. India’s toll of cases reported today account for over 40 percent of the global cases.

When India has slowly started earning the naming as the production house of novel Coronavirus, there is an argument that India is under-reporting the cases and the actual cases might be even more than the current cases.

When the other severely affected nations like the United States, Brazil, and other countries are reporting fewer cases, India has been reporting fresh Coronavirus infections in lakhs.

While India reported 346,786 fresh coronavirus infections on Saturday, the United States and Brazil, which are in first and third spots in terms of the Covid-19 outbreak have added 65,920 and 49,314 cases respectively.

On the other hand, India has emerged as the hotspot for the Covid-19 fatalities too. In the last 24 hours, 2263 people have breathed their last battling the respiratory disease in India. This translates to 17 percent of the global casualties.

As a result of the massive rise in Covid-19 casualties, the crematoriums in various states are reporting an overflow of corpses of Covid-19 patients making it difficult for the staff members to cremate the bodies.
