Indian Athletes who won medals at Olympics to get BCCI’s cash rewards

India had a memorable journey at the Tokyo Olympics which can be dubbed as the best and satisfying Olympic tournament for India so far. While a few athletes have won the medals, a few athletes have narrowly lost the chances of winning the medals.

As a token of appreciation for the athletes, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had announced cash rewards to Indian athletes who have won medals for the country.

Neeraj Chopra who brought Gold Medal will be given Rs one crore, while Mirabai Chanu and Ravi Kumar Dahiya will be receiving Rs 50 lakh each for winning silver medals.

Bronze medal winning athletes, Mirabai Chanu and Ravi Kumar Dahiya will receive Rs 25 lakh each.

Besides them, the Men’s National Hockey team will be receiving Rs 1.25 crore. The same was confirmed and announced by Jay Shah, BCCI secretary on Twitter.
