Iran has stated that it held only a brief interaction with the United States regarding its nuclear programme during discussions held in Switzerland, while firmly clarifying that formal negotiations have not yet begun.
According to foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, the American delegation presented its position on the nuclear issue during the meeting. However, he emphasized that the exchange was limited and informal in nature.
“A very brief discussion took place regarding the nuclear issue, but there was no detailed dialogue, and it cannot be considered the start of official negotiations,” Baqaei said.
The statement comes amid ongoing international attention on Iran’s nuclear activities and diplomatic efforts involving global powers.
