Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Ranabali’ Wraps 90% Shoot, Release Buzz Grows

Gone are the days when films were wrapped up in just 45–65 days. With most stars now working on large-scale pan-India projects, shooting schedules often stretch up to 150 days or more. However, despite this growing trend of extended production timelines, Vijay Deverakonda is reportedly aiming to keep his upcoming big-budget pan-India film within a controlled schedule.
Reports suggest that Ranabali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, has already completed around 100 days of shooting. The film is said to be a massive pan-India venture directed by Rahul Sankrityan, known for Taxiwaala and Shyam Singha Roy, and is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Set against a 19th-century backdrop, the story is reportedly based on real historical events that took place between 1854 and 1878 during British rule in the Rayalaseema region of present-day Andhra Pradesh. With nearly 90% of the shoot said to be completed, the remaining portions are expected to be wrapped up within the next 10–15 days, marking a swift finish for a project of this scale.
A recently released birthday glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda, showcasing his intense preparation—riding a horse, falling, and continuing the shoot—has gone viral and further amplified buzz around the film. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting for the film’s release, reportedly scheduled for September 11, hoping to witness a powerful patriotic drama.
Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo is said to be playing the role of the main British antagonist, adding further international appeal to the project.
