Jagan reacts seriously to misusing of schemes

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced many schemes in the state, one of which is the Jagananna Vidyadeevena scheme, under which he reimburses the college fee to the economically weaker sections of the society. This scheme was in effect previously as well, in the state, but Jagan introduced his scheme with slight modifications to the earlier one in place.

Jagan decided to deposit the fee amount into the bank accounts of the mothers of the students so that they can directly pay the fee to the college. However, this has backfired for Jagan, with many mothers not paying the fee amount to the college. As a result, the managements of several colleges have filed petitions n the High Court, which reacted seriously to the matter. Following that, the AP government too reacted seriously towards the issue.

Jagan is now said to have passed orders to the concerned officials, to identify the real beneficiaries, and deposit the money only into their accounts from now on. He is also said to have asked the officials to identify all those accounts from which the fee was not paid to the colleges, and to make sure that the fee is paid.
