Jagan To Take Resignations Of Ministers On April 7

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to take the resignations of all his cabinet colleagues on April 7.

As the chief minister is reportedly set April 11 for the rejig of his cabinet, he is holding the last cabinet meeting on April 7.

Sources say that the chief minister would submit the resignations to the Governor and seek his appointment for swearing-in of the new ministers on April 11.

According to the sources, the chief minister had finalised the list of his new cabinet ministers, which included at least four to five existing ministers.

The chief minister is said to have completed the laborious task of composing his cabinet with all equations such as districts and caste.

Jagan Mohan Reddy would be building his two teams for the 2024 elections, a team (cabinet) in the government and another team in the party.

As the new districts will come into existence by April 11, the chief minister is said to have taken into consideration giving representation to every district.

The cabinet size is short of one number of the districts. While the state would have 26 districts, the cabinet has to be cut to 25, given the strength of the total legislators.

It is to be seen who would be making it to the cabinet and who would be given the party responsibility in the crucial election season.
