Amid ongoing discussion and debate surrounding her character portrayal in Buchi Babu Sana’s “Peddi”, a new buzz has emerged in the industry regarding Janhvi Kapoor’s remuneration for the film.
According to reliable trade reports, Janhvi is said to have received the biggest pay cheque of her career for “Peddi,” reportedly around ₹8 crore for playing the female lead opposite Ram Charan.
“This is the highest remuneration she has earned so far. She was extremely professional on set, and her fee has seen a significant jump compared to her previous Telugu outing,” a trade source revealed. The actress had reportedly been paid around ₹5 crore for ‘Devara’, marking an estimated 50 percent increase with “Peddi.”
With back-to-back appearances in successful Telugu projects like “Devara” and “Peddi,” Janhvi Kapoor is increasingly being viewed as a strong marketable heroine in the Telugu film industry. Trade circles also claim she currently maintains a strong success track record in Telugu cinema, further boosting her demand.
Industry buzz suggests that Janhvi will next be seen opposite Allu Arjun in Atlee’s upcoming big-budget entertainer “Raka.” In Hindi cinema, she has projects like “Lag Ja Gale” alongside Tiger Shroff and Lakshya in the pipeline.
As per trade analysts, Janhvi is now receiving multiple offers from Telugu filmmakers, and her remuneration for “Peddi” has reportedly set a new benchmark for her career.
However, while “Peddi” performed well in Telugu markets, its Hindi version reportedly failed to make a strong impact at the box office.
