As announced by Aamir Khan himself, his upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ which was supposed to hit the screens on 14th April got postponed. It will be arriving on 11th August 2022 which was supposed to be the release date of Prabhas’ pan-Indian mythological drama ‘Adipurush’. Aamir & Co thanked the team of ‘Adipurush’ for changing their release date.
With ‘Laal Singh Chadda’ moving out of the April 14th slot, many expect ‘KGF – Chapter 2’ to have a free run at the box office across the country. But this Kannada film has got another competitor in the North market.
Shahid Kapoor who is on a roll with the success of ‘Kabir Singh’ has announced a while ago that his upcoming film ‘Jersey’ will be releasing on April 14th.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “So so happy to announce that our beloved film #Jersey will be releasing worldwide in theatres on the 14th of April 2022. See you in the theatres.â€
It is well known by now that ‘Jersey’ is a remake of a Telugu film with the same name. The original featured Natural star Nani in the lead role which will be reprised by Shahid in the Hindi remake.
Gautham Thinnanuri who made the original has handled the megaphone for the Hindi version too. The trailer and the songs got a good response from the audience already. The makers planned to release it on 31st December 2021 but it got postponed. Mrunal Thakur is the heroine in this project.
