The first major twist of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa is here. Just as the contestants settle into the game, former host Kangana Ranaut is set to make a special comeback this weekend—but with a new role.
Netflix has announced that Kangana will appear as ‘Janta Ki Awaaz’, representing the voice of the audience as the show gears up for its first termination of the season. Her return is expected to add a fresh layer of drama, with the contestants facing their toughest test yet.
Sharing her excitement, Kangana said, “This show has always been about owning your truth, no matter how uncomfortable it is. Joining Farah and Riteish as the jury or the Janta Ki Awaaz this weekend for Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa’s very first termination, all I can say is every choice has a price!”
The second season of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa premiered on Netflix on June 27 and has already completed its opening task. Hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh have assigned identity tags to all 15 contestants, who are referred to as inmates.
This season’s lineup includes Sunita Ahuja, Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Harshad Chopda, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Riyaz Ali, Yogesh Rawat, Akanksha Choudhary, Akanksha Chamola, Shreya Kalra, Sreshta Iyer and Sufi Motiwala, among others.
Set inside a high-security jail environment, the reality show isolates contestants from the outside world as they battle through challenging tasks, punishments, chargesheets and eliminations to survive in the competition.
While the inaugural season streamed on ALTBalaji and MX Player in 2022, the latest edition is streaming exclusively on Netflix, with new episodes airing every Saturday to Wednesday at 8 pm.
