KCR to appoint chiefs for 40 nominated posts on his birthday

Telangana CM KCR is busy finalising his strategy for the assembly elections, which are barely 15 months away. After unveiling the anti-Central Government approach to go to the voters by strongly skipping Modi’s visit to Muchintal ashram and attacking Modi, he has now begun readying up the party’s rank and file for the elections.

As part of it, KCR is likely to fill around 40 key nominated posts. The last time he filed the nominated posts was in December 2021. He has then filled 11 posts. Now there are about 40 vacancies and he wants to appoint key leaders to these posts. The appointments, according to the TRS insiders, would be on the basis of their utility and vote-catching capacity of the candidate. KCR wants to make these appointments on his birthday, the February 17th.

One interesting feature is KCR is going to appoint young leaders, mainly those dissatisfied at not being given any post or had to stand down for other candidates. Among the names doing rounds are – TRS candidate for Huzurabad Gellu Srinivas, Pidamarthi Ravi, Rajaram Yadav, Challa Praveen Reddy, Anjaneyulu Goud and others.

TRS sources say that student leaders, those who had played an important role in the Telangana agitation and others would be given preference. The appointments would be made on KCR’s birthday, which falls on February 17.
