As excitement builds for Cocktail 2, which is set to release in theatres on June 19, the makers have responded to ongoing speculation about the film’s storyline and the roles played by Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.

Recently, social media was abuzz with rumours suggesting that the two actresses would be seen portraying a lesbian couple, with claims of bold and intimate scenes between them. The speculation quickly gained traction online, sparking curiosity and debate among fans.

However, producer Dinesh Vijan has now put an end to these rumours. Speaking at a recent press interaction, he clarified that Cocktail 2 does not feature any lesbian love story. Instead, the film reportedly follows two separate romantic tracks that are modern, emotionally layered, and bold in their narrative approach.

He further emphasized that the circulating reports are baseless and urged audiences to wait for the film’s theatrical release to experience the actual story. While the film does explore contemporary relationships and complex emotions, it does not align with the claims being made on social media.

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is expected to blend romance, drama, and humor, continuing the spirit of the original while presenting a fresh take on modern relationships for today’s audience.
