Kollywood’s massive gesture during second wave

There’s no denying that the second wave of Corona virus has been devastating the entire country for several days now. A lot of people have lost their lives, and a lot of people are currently fighting for their lives. The shortage of oxygen supply across the country is wreaking havoc, and every state in the country has imposed a lockdown to some extent, to prevent the spread of the virus.
Tamil Nadu stands among one of the highly affected states in India, due to coronavirus. Looking at the situation prevalent in the state, several actors have come forward to help the people of the state, by donating to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Superstar Rajinikanth donated Rs 50 lakhs to Chief Minister MK Stalin in the state Secretariat today.
Actors and brothers, Suriya and Karthi have donated Rs. 1 Crore to the CMRF, while Chiyan Vikram donated Rs. 30 Lakhs via online transfer. Thala Ajith donated Rs. 25 Lakhs to the CMRF a few days ago, and even young actors like Vishal, Simbu, Sivakarthikeyan, Jayam Ravi and others donated their bit to help Tamil Nadu during the current crisis. Even Tamil directors Shankar, Vetri Maaran, Mohan Raja made donations to help the state. This came as a welcome to the state which is going through one of the worst times currently.
