While filmmaking has always been an arduous task, the challenges posed by the pandemic situation have been unprecedented for film production units across the world. The team of the Satish Vegesna-directorial Kothi Kommachi has indeed lead by example in this precarious hour, wrapping the entire outdoor shoot of the film in a month’s span. The film starring Meghamsh Srihari, Sameer Vegesna that went on floors on November 3, is complete but for a song shoot. M L V Sathyanarayana is producing the fun-filled entertainer under Lakshya Productions.
“The film went on floors right after shoot permissions were granted. Given that the film was extensively shot outdoors across Amalapuram, Visakhapatnam and Rajamundry in a single schedule, we ensured all safety precautions were in place. I am grateful to the entire team that made this possible. We’re looking forward to completing the song shoot and announcing the release date shortly,” the director Satish Vegesna added.
“Despite the scare posed by the pandemic, we completed the shoot without any hassles. The director Sathish Vegesna was extremely meticulous with his planning through the schedule. The cast and crew left no stone unturned to wrap the portions on time. The post-production work for the film has already commenced. We are sure to entertain the audiences in theatres,” the producer M L V Sathyanarayana exuded optimism.

Alia Bhatt Turns Killer in ‘Alpha’
May 30, 2026

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is set to take on a bold and intense new avatar in the upcoming Yash Raj Films spy entertainer Alpha, where she will reportedly be seen playing a killer trained for high-stakes missions.
Recent buzz about her character has been confirmed by a source close to the production, who stated, “Alia Bhatt is definitely playing a killer in Alpha.” The source further revealed that her role is unlike the traditional heroic characters seen in the YRF Spy Universe so far.
According to the insider, Alia’s character is not a conventional spy but an assassin who has been raised and trained to eliminate targets. “She isn’t a spy. She is an alpha killer,” the source added, highlighting the darker and more aggressive tone of her role.
Reports suggest that YRF chief Aditya Chopra wanted to introduce a fresh kind of protagonist—one who operates outside moral judgment and acts purely on instinct and purpose. The idea is to present a character who is unapologetically powerful, aligning with modern audience expectations for layered and unconventional heroes.
The source further added that Alpha represents a creative shift within the YRF Spy Universe, aiming to expand its storytelling style with a strong female-led action narrative. Alia’s character is expected to bring a new dimension to the franchise with high-octane action and a more intense emotional arc.
When contacted, a YRF spokesperson neither confirmed nor denied the reports, stating, “All we can say is that everyone should wait for the first asset of Alpha. We can neither confirm nor deny this chatter at this stage.”
The film also features Sharvari in a key role, with Bobby Deol playing the antagonist and Anil Kapoor in an important character. Directed by Shiv Rawail, known for The Railway Men, Alpha is slated for release on July 3.
