Lakshmi Parvathi appointed honorary professor of AU

Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi, the Chairperson of Telugu and Sanskrit Akademi, has been appointed honorary professor of Andhra University. On Monday, University registrar Prof Krishna Mohan issued the relevant orders.
Andhra University VC Professor Prasad Reddy, who is said to be known for praising CM Jagan and late CM YSR, congratulated Lakshmi Parvathi on her appointment. Rector K. Samatha, Head of the Telugu Department Jarra Appa Rao were present.
Later, Lakshmi Parvathi called on Prasad Reddy in his chamber and informed him that she would strive to make all-out efforts for the promotion of Telugu and Sanskrit languages.
However, Lakshmi Parvathi’s appointment as an honorary professor in the university has become a discussion in political circles as no one clearly knows what her educational qualification is to teach the students.
It is heard that she has been offered this post merely for financial gain. Some people opine that she got this opportunity only with the help of the ruling YSRCP government. It remains to be seen on which subjects she teaches students in the university.
