Preity Mukundhan’s career has witnessed a remarkable turnaround in a short span of time. Although she made her Telugu debut opposite Manchu Vishnu in Bhakta Kannappa, the film did not provide the breakthrough many had expected.

During the film’s promotional campaign, much of the attention was focused on established stars such as Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, leaving the newcomer with limited opportunities to make an impact.

However, her fortunes changed dramatically with the release of the Tamil film Blast, which went on to become a surprise blockbuster. The film’s success significantly boosted Preity’s popularity in Kollywood, resulting in a surge of offers from Tamil filmmakers.

Adding to her momentum, her latest Tamil release, Idhayam Murali, hit theatres this weekend, further strengthening her position in the Tamil film industry.

With several Tamil projects already lined up, Preity is reportedly finding it difficult to accept new Telugu films. Industry reports suggest that she has turned down a special appearance in Allu Arjun’s Raaka and also declined an offer to star opposite Kiran Abbavaram in an upcoming project.

Sources indicate that the actress has informed Telugu producers that her schedule is fully occupied with Tamil commitments for the foreseeable future. While no official confirmation has been made regarding the reported offers, Preity’s growing success in Kollywood appears to have made her one of the busiest young actresses in South Indian cinema.
