Maharshi receives two Awards at 67th National Awards

Landmark films are always special for any actor. If it earns critical acclaim and makes good numbers at the box office then the film will become even more special for the actor. Superstar Mahesh Babu’s landmark film, Maharshi, which marks his 25th film is one of its kind films.

Maharshi received critical acclaim and had struck gold at the box-office collections bringing big profits for the products. Well, the film has not finished yet. The Mahesh Babu starrer had won not one but two National Awards in different categories.

At the 67th National Awards ceremony, Maharshi bagged awards in the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment and best choreography categories. The makers of the film Vamsi Paidipally(director) and Dil Raju(producer) received the honours from Vice President Venkaiah Naidu.

Maharshi was bankrolled jointly by Dil Raju, C. Ashwini Dutt, Prasad V. Potluri, and Param V. Potluri under their respective production houses Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies, and PVP Cinema.

Tall beauty Pooja Hegde paired up with Mahesh Babu in Maharshi that emerged as one the highest grosser of Telugu cinema in 2019. The story traces the journey of a CEO played by Mahesh Babu who decided to leave his job and help the farmers by seeing their plight. Allari Naresh was seen as Mahesh Babu’s friend in the film.
