Mamata Banerjee to take oath as Chief Minister of Bengal today

Mamata Banerjee has guided the All India Trinamool Congress(AITC) party to a stunning victory in the recently held West Bengal general elections. The AITC has won the election with a two-thirds majority.

Mamata Banerjee popularly known as Didi is all set to take oath as the Chief Minister of the state today at 10: 45 AM. She is gearing up to take over the state for the third consecutive term.

After winning the elections, the AITC legislators have elected her as the leader of the legislature party unanimously. Following this, she had dialed up the state government to take over the state.

The swearing-in ceremony of Mamata Banerjee will tackle place at the Raj Bhavan today. Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar will administer the swearing-in ceremony of Mamata Banerjee.

Taking the Covid-19 fear into consideration, the TMC is making sure that the swearing-in ceremony will be a low-key affair. Only limited attendees will be invited to the ceremony.

As per the media reports, AITC Parliamentarian Abhishek Banerjee, political strategist Prashant Kishor, who played a key role in AITC winning the poll, and party leader Firhad Hakim are expected to be present during the ceremony.

After taking oath as the Chief Minister, Didi will visit ‘Nabanna’ West Bengal Secretariat as per the schedule. Mamata will receive the ‘guard of honour’ from the Kolkata Police, reports claimed.
