“In 2012, when the government had approved bauxite mining in AP, Chandrababu as leader of the opposition opposed it vehemently. He wrote to the Center and Governor against allowing mining in the area. Why has he changed his stance now and what made him support something which he was so dead against?” questioned Vizag MLC leader MVS Sharma of Chandrababu Naidu. Meanwhile, realizing that the bauxite issue could turn into a political hot potato, the Naidu government has put the GO on hold.
And jumping into the fray are Jana Sena fans who aver that the GO was put on hold after their idol Pawan Kalyan talked to Chandrababu Naidu and cautioned him. Thus they are trying to get mileage for their party out of nothing. So, all in all, the game goes on! Tribals live their lives away from civilization, content in their own worlds. In the name of development, we intrude into their space and destroy everything. All means should be directed towards alleviating the plights of the tribals. But the tribals have become the means to the end which is political upmanship and crass material benefits.
