The North American box office witnessed a competitive weekend with the release of two Telugu films and a major Hindi release, while Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaaram continued its impressive theatrical run.

Leading the Indian box office in North America was Alia Bhatt’s spy thriller Alpha, which collected approximately $574K during its opening weekend. Although it emerged as the highest-grossing Indian release of the weekend, the film’s opening has been widely viewed as below expectations for a high-budget Bollywood production headlined by one of the industry’s biggest stars.

Among the Telugu releases, Rao Bahadur, starring Satyadev, emerged as the clear winner. The film earned around $295K in its opening weekend, a respectable start considering the actor’s relatively modest overseas market. Positive reviews and encouraging word of mouth are expected to help sustain its performance in the coming days.

On the other hand, the fantasy adventure Nagabandham struggled to make an impact at the North American box office. Despite its large-scale production and ambitious visuals, the film managed to collect only about $110K during its opening weekend. With the current trend showing limited audience traction, the prospects for a strong recovery appear slim.

Meanwhile, Samantha’s Maa Inti Bangaaram continued its remarkable overseas journey by surpassing the $2 million mark in North America. The milestone further strengthens the film’s position as one of the biggest Telugu box office successes in the region this year and highlights its sustained popularity among overseas audiences.
