MS Raju Reminds The Criticism He Faced For Taking That Hero!

‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’ is one of the very few films that are loved immensely by the audience. You cannot find a single hater of this pure love story. The film oozes freshness even now and every person gave their best. It was a huge turning point for everyone associated with this film. It was Prabhudeva’s debut directorial while Devi Sri Prasad is still a budding talent. Coming to Trisha and Siddharth, it was one of their biggest hits and made them into stars in Tollywood.

Speaking about this film, producer MS Raju said that he faced a lot of criticism for taking Siddharth as a hero and Prabhudeva as a director. He said, “Many criticized me for casting Siddharth. In fact, the Paruchuri brothers, especially Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao said that he doesn’t fit into the character. Post the poster release, some even passed comments as to how a hero is looking like a girl, but it did not deter me as I was keen to cast him only.”

Adding to it, Raju said that doubts were raised on Prabhudeva too as he was seen as a star choreographer and actor till then. He added that all of them are doing well in their professional space while it is him who is still trying to figure it out. MS Raju turned into a director these days and made films like ‘Tuneega Tuneega’ and ‘Dirty Hari’.
