Mumbai Police Stopped Bollywood Actress Jacqueline Fernandez at Airport From Leaving India

It is quite common in the film industry for actresses to command higher remuneration once they attain greater popularity. Trisha appears to be no exception.

The actress recently tasted success with Karuppu. However, industry circles believe that the buzz surrounding her association with Tamil superstar Vijay has contributed even more to her soaring popularity. With Vijay stepping fully into politics, public attention on Trisha has reportedly increased significantly.

Now, the 43-year-old actress seems keen to capitalize on her renewed craze. According to reports, a production house that approached her for a prestigious Tamil-Telugu bilingual project was taken aback by her remuneration demand.

Trisha is said to have quoted a whopping Rs 15 crore for the film, leaving the producer stunned. Reports suggest that negotiations are currently underway, with the makers hoping to bring the fee down to around Rs 10 crore.

Trisha was recently seen opposite Chiranjeevi in Vishwambhara, for which she reportedly received around Rs 4 crore. For her latest release Karuppu, industry talk suggests that she was paid nearly Rs 6 crore.

However, within a short span, the actress has reportedly raised the bar substantially with a Rs 15-crore quote. At present, Nayanthara is widely regarded as the highest-paid actress in South Indian cinema, and Trisha’s latest demand has sparked fresh discussions about remuneration trends among leading heroines.
