It is well-known that Nandamuri Balakrishna arrived as the chief guest for the pre-release event of ‘Gangs Of Godavari’. As we are aware, whatever Balayya does in public goes viral. There is a visual of Balayya sitting with a bottle of alcohol at his feet and it is all over social media now. People are bashing this behavior of senior hero at a public event.
When asked about it at the press conference, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi made it clear that there was no bottle by Balayya’s side at the event and it was all CGI work. He claims that he knows it for a fact as he was the one who organized the event. Vishwak jokingly stated that we would hire the guy who made that video for the CGI work of ‘Gangs Of Godavari 2’.
Naga Vamsi also responded to Balakrishna pushing Anjali. He stated that it was in a jovial manner and it was made viral without context. He said that they high-fived each other just 10 seconds later but no one is sharing that video. Vishwak added that Balakrishna sir said everything in a light-hearted manner and it explains his kind-hearted nature. The movie’s cast includes Goparaju Ramana, Praveen, Hyper Aadi and others.

Balakrishna to Play Powerful Mumbai Don in NBK111?
May 28, 2026

Gangster dramas have always been a powerful genre in Indian cinema, though Telugu films have explored the space far less compared to Bollywood. Over the years, movies like Baasha, Businessman, and more recently KGF brought the Mumbai gangster backdrop into mainstream South Indian cinema with strong mass appeal. However, Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film OG has taken the genre’s hype to another level with its intense action-packed presentation.
Now, reports suggest that Nandamuri Balakrishna is also set to enter the gangster space with a powerful new avatar in his upcoming film tentatively titled NBK111. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, who previously delivered Veera Simha Reddy with Balakrishna, the film is said to feature the actor as a formidable Mumbai don.
According to industry buzz, the team is planning an extensive Mumbai schedule and is expected to begin shooting major outdoor sequences before the monsoon season arrives, as heavy rains often disrupt large-scale shoots in the city.
Interestingly, the gangster genre is currently witnessing renewed excitement among Telugu audiences, especially after the massive response generated by OG, where Pawan Kalyan plays a stylish and ruthless assassin. In contrast, Balakrishna is reportedly portraying a full-fledged don role, which has already sparked curiosity among fans and movie lovers.
Many are now eager to see how Balakrishna’s screen presence and mass image will shape this larger-than-life gangster character. Comparisons are naturally being drawn with iconic gangster portrayals by Bollywood legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, who made memorable impressions in similar roles over the years.
With Gopichand Malineni known for presenting Balakrishna in powerful mass-driven characters, expectations are steadily rising around NBK111. Fans are now waiting to see whether the film can deliver another explosive addition to the gangster genre in Telugu cinema.
