Naidu calls out AP Police for discrimination

The Tirupati Lok Sabha by-polls have become a matter of high importance for all the political parties in Andhra Pradesh. Every party has campaigned day and night and tried its best to attract the voters of Tirupati as much as it can.
A lot of people have reported bogus voters during the Tirupati by-polls today, and Telugu Desam Party Chief, Nara Chandrababu Naidu called out the Andhra Pradesh Police department for not responding to these cases, and in turn arresting TDP members who tried to stop it.
Naidu said that the 47th division President Venkateswarlu and 50th division President Venkata Ratnam in Tirupati were illegally arrested by the Police department, and demanded their immediate release. He also said that the POlice department was not taking any action on the thousands of ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) supporters from Nellore, Chittoor, and Kadapa districts, who have descended on the Scheduled Castes-reserved Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency, taking out rallies.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Vijayanand ordered the Chittoor and Nellore district officials to make sure that no poll violations occur during the elections. Vijayanad is also said to have spoken to the district collectors, superintendents of police (SPs), and asked them to make sure that there are no bogus voters, and that the election happens in a very transparent manner.
