Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu continues to inspire the public with his remarkable energy and sharpness, even in his seventies. His active lifestyle and commitment to physical and mental wellness stand as a testament to his focus on holistic health.
On the occasion of World Health Day, Naidu shared valuable health advice with the public, urging people to cut down on salt, oil, and sugar—key contributors to chronic diseases. He recommended that a family of four should restrict their monthly consumption to 600 grams of salt, two liters of oil, and three kilograms of sugar. Emphasizing salt reduction in particular, Naidu highlighted how these simple measures can go a long way in preventing cardiovascular, kidney, and other lifestyle-related health issues.
In addition, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of daily physical activity and mental wellness. He advised everyone, including Secretariat employees, to dedicate 30 minutes to walking and another 30 minutes to prayer or meditation—regardless of religion—to help manage stress and maintain mental balance.
Naidu’s proactive stance on health has caught the attention of national media, who have widely appreciated his commitment to public well-being despite his demanding schedule.
Taking his vision further, the Chief Minister launched the Digital Health Nerve Centre (DiNC)—a pioneering tech-driven initiative aimed at transforming public healthcare delivery across Andhra Pradesh. The program seeks to achieve 100% Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) coverage and integrate all electronic health records into a centralized system.
The DiNC pilot project will begin in Kuppam on June 15 and run for three months. Based on its success, it will be extended to 31 mandals in Chittoor district, and eventually, rolled out across all 26 districts in the state over the next 26 months.
