Apple is reportedly gearing up to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphones—the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first-ever foldable iPhone—later this year. While the company has not officially announced a launch date, a new Bloomberg report suggests the devices could arrive earlier than expected.

According to the report, Apple is likely to stick to its traditional launch schedule by hosting its annual iPhone event during the second week of September. Since the company typically prefers launching new iPhones on the first Tuesday or Wednesday after Labour Day in the US, the iPhone 18 lineup is expected to be unveiled on either September 8 or September 9, 2026. For comparison, the iPhone 17 series debuted on September 9, 2025.

Alongside the launch timeline, fresh reports indicate that Apple may increase the prices of its premium iPhone models. Rising RAM costs, ongoing chip supply challenges, and increasing manufacturing expenses are said to be the key reasons behind the expected price hike. Apple CEO Tim Cook has previously acknowledged that higher component costs have made price increases unavoidable, with several Apple products already becoming more expensive in various markets.

According to an IDC report, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could see a price increase of around $200 (approximately ₹18,800) compared to their predecessors. If the estimates prove accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro may be priced between $1,249 and $1,299 (roughly ₹1.18 lakh to ₹1.23 lakh), while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could cost between $1,349 and $1,399 (around ₹1.28 lakh to ₹1.32 lakh).

The biggest talking point, however, is expected to be Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The premium device is rumored to carry a starting price of around $2,500 (approximately ₹2.36 lakh), with higher-end variants potentially reaching $3,000 (around ₹2.83 lakh), making it one of the most expensive smartphones Apple has ever produced.

Although Apple has yet to confirm any of these details, the latest reports suggest that the company is preparing for one of its biggest iPhone launches in recent years, with both upgraded Pro models and a long-awaited foldable device expected to take center stage.
