Vishal Questions Ministerial Appointment Amid Jananayagan Release Buzz

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s decision to assign the Film Technology and Cinematography Ministry to Rajmohan has sparked criticism from actor Vishal. Vishal reportedly expressed concern that someone without deep industry experience may not be fully equipped to handle the challenges faced by the film sector. He suggested that the Chief Minister himself, having extensive experience in the industry over the past three decades, could have overseen the portfolio more effectively to address long-standing issues faced by producers and production houses.

Responding to the criticism, Minister Rajmohan offered a dignified and measured reply during a recent film event. When questioned by the media, he stated that he would work hard to earn Vishal’s trust and prove his capability over time. He added that he remains committed to fulfilling the Chief Minister’s confidence in him and working continuously for the welfare of the film industry. Rajmohan also noted that Vishal may not yet have a complete understanding of his work, while expressing admiration for Vishal as an actor and his films.

Meanwhile, attention in the Tamil film industry has also turned to Jananayagan, widely reported to be Chief Minister Vijay’s final film. Directed by H. Vinoth, the high-profile project has generated significant anticipation among fans. Originally scheduled for release earlier this year, the film has faced delays due to technical reasons, particularly clearance delays from the censor board.

Addressing speculation around the film’s postponement, Minister Rajmohan clarified that there are no political or external conspiracies behind the delay. He emphasized that the film is awaiting official certification and will be released once all legal formalities are completed. He further assured that the government does not intentionally block any film and that procedures are being followed as per regulations. Although some ticketing platforms indicate a possible June release, the makers have not yet made any official announcement.

Overall, as Tamil cinema navigates both administrative restructuring and high-profile film releases, the industry faces a crucial phase of transition. It remains to be seen how effectively the new leadership and evolving system will support the growth of the Kollywood market in the coming days.
