Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan successfully underwent a three-and-a-half-hour rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder at a hospital in Mumbai on Saturday. The procedure was carried out after doctors diagnosed significant damage to both of his shoulders.
According to medical sources, the injuries are believed to have worsened over the years due to his demanding political campaigns, extensive public outreach programmes, and continuous physical strain. Following a detailed medical evaluation, doctors recommended immediate surgery on the right shoulder, while the left shoulder will undergo a similar procedure after a recovery period of around two months.
Pawan Kalyan is currently under medical supervision and is expected to begin rehabilitation soon. His medical team remains optimistic about his recovery, with the second surgery scheduled once he regains sufficient strength from the first procedure.
